Pittsburgh Panthers Tickets – This Season Has it All

Pittsburgh won for the first time as the No. 1 team, while unbeatable Wake Forest’s first win over North Carolina in four years pushed the Demon Deacons to No. 3 in the Top 25 rankings released Monday.

Pitt (15-0) reined supreme for the second straight week by beating St. John’s for its 12th straight victory at home. The Panthers scored 29 of 31 first-place votes to lead No. 2 Duke in poll points, 773-729. Wake reeled in two first-place votes after beating then-No. 3 North Carolina from the points 92-89 on Sunday and, at 14-0, is off to its best start since the 1980-81 seasons.

The Panthers acknowledged all but two of the first-place votes from the 72-member national media panel on Monday. Some other went to the Demon Deacons, who moved up two places after handing the Tar Heels their second straight conference loss. The Tar Heels lost for the 2nd straight week and fell to sixth in the poll. The Boston College ,first defeat knocked UNC out of

Participating In The Legacy With Unc Basketball Tickets

UNC basketball tickets are cherished by college basketball fans both in North Carolina and around the world, as the Tar Heels have a winning tradition that’s nearly unmatched in college basketball. When someone even mentions the phrase “college hoops,” North Carolina is one of the first teams people often think of, and that’s not going to change any time soon. Below we’ll take a look at the Tar Heels’ prospects for the upcoming season, and it looks like they could be adding to their legend come spring of 2007.

Key Returnees

The Tar Heels are loaded. There’s no other way to say it, and teams will find this out first-hand throughout the season. There’s no substitute for pure talent, and UNC has it in droves. This talent starts with Tyler Hansbrough, thought by many to be the best big man in the country. Not only is he blessed with a ton of natural gifts, but Hansbrough also makes a habit of outworking opponents both on the court and off of it.

The Best Ncaa Basketball Coaches!

The best NCAA College Basketball Coaches have the uncanny ability to get their players motivated for “Big” games and throughout the entire season. Here’s a list of some of NCAA basketball’s best coaches:

John Thompson- coached the mighty Georgetown Hoyas (“Hoya Paranoia”) to multiple NCAA championships, and 2 of the most dominant centers in NCAA and NBA history; Patrick Ewing and Alonzo Mourning. Coach John Thompson’s influence on the game of basketball is evident by his former player, Patrick Ewing’s induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Typically when a player is inducted into the Hall of Fame and included in the realms of such great basketball talent, it’s a direct reflection of their coach, such is the case with former Georgetown University Coach and former Boston Celtic- John

NCAA Tournament Tickets – Predicting the National Champion Part III

This article seeks to determine the teams with the best possible chance of winning the NCAA Basketball national championship. In Parts I and II I discussed North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Duke, Connecticut and Wake Forest. Of these teams, which have the best odds of getting to the national championship according to http://oddschecker.com, I decided that Duke and Wake Forest were most deserving of your wagers. Once you get out of the top five or so teams, you really start to find some tempting odds. Here are some of the teams I like (and don’t like) within the 16/1 to 20/1 odds range. All betting odds were taken from http://oddschecker.com as of January 12, 2009.

Second Tier National Title Contenders

UCLA (16/1)
I’m not quite sure where Vegas gets off putting the Bruins at such a high spot in their national championship odds. They must think that Final Four streaks mean more than they seem, or they know something we don’t. UCLA

Don’t Let it Pass you by

Copyright (c) 2007 Good News Publications

I want to explain one of the greatest life lessons you will probably ever hear. It was brought home to me again last Friday night in an unusual way.

For 16 years I coached High School Football in Eastern Virginia. That’s the 757 area code of Virginia. If you know anything about College Football, you will recognize that area code as one of the most talented areas in the country.

But our school was small in number, in fact for the past 16 years we had to apply for an exception to the rule in order to play AA football because we were a single A sized school. This meant we never had the numbers (most of our varsity teams never had over 25 players, so our kids had to go both ways all season). We rarely had outstanding talent and if we did it was one or two players every five years or so. This means we were always out-numbered, the players rarely got a rest, a lot of them played

SEC Champion: Alabama Crimson Tide – The Tide have an excellent opportunity to win the SEC and to get back in the BCS championship game. Florida will still be a formidable foe in the SEC East, and Arkansas is on the rise in the SEC West, but I love what Bama has coming back, and I love the new guys head coach Nick Saban has brought in. Saban wasted no time hitting the recruiting trail hard once he arrived in Alabama, and it has paid off. In just three seasons with the Tide, he
